Is anyone else excited about Spectre??? It's already opened in Europe (they get everything early!!!) and the US is getting prepare for the release next week!

Personally, it's the film I'm most excited for next to Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

I was so excited, in fact, that when Regal announced they'd be doing a limited number of Unlimited Ticket for Spectre, I jumped on it. Ha! It came in the mail yesterday and boy, it's a beauty.

So, like every other nerd I know, I was anxiously awaiting confirmation of The Force Awakens ticket sales, poster reveal and final trailer! And we received it at exactly noon EST today!

Here is the glorious poster! So many details! I'm especially loving Han and Leia, side by side, because, of course, they're my OTP.

My NYCC Wrap Up - Sunday Funday!

Day 4. Sun 11 Oct

My Sunday was spent getting autographs! I managed to nabbed one of the last two Person of Interest wristbands (that whole process was also a mess, almost a bigger mess than Saturday but don't want to rant again. Ha!). After I grabbed that, I headed straight for the Minority Report autograph line! A buddy of mine, Stark Sands is one of the leads so I've been watching the show to support him! I'll admit, I've enjoyed it much more than I thought I would!

The signing was quick, as the cast was running late. Security and staff were also freaking out about photos being taken so, sorry, no photos from me. They brought the whole cast and the poster turned out great!

My NYCC Wrap Up - Saturday, It's all about Jessica Jones

Day 3. Sat 10 Oct

Saturday was my busiest day. My buddy Kalvin and I had decided to cosplay Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, respectively, and we're determined to get into the Marvel Netflix panel. Thanks to a short Friday, I was pretty well rested and headed out a few hours before the doors opened to queue up for the great hall wristbands. This, however, turned out to be a mess.

My NYCC Wrap Up - Friday

Day 2. Fri 9 Oct

Friday was my least busy day. I'll admit, I slept in more than I should but still made it to Javits by noon. Haha!

Marvel and Netflix partnered with Uber to provide free rides in these awesome Jessica Jones SUVs along with Daredevil SUVs. I tried very hard to get a ride from my place to the con but had no luck.

My NYCC Wrap Up - Thursday

Another successful year at New York Comic Con!  Though there were many bumps in the road, especially with line organisation, everything turned out great! Here's my day one activities. I tried writing every day up at once but I am far too distracted! Ha!

ATX Television Festival

I'm heading to ATX Television Festival on Thursday!
A friend of mine went last year and had the time of her life so I was determined to go this year after hearing a bit of the lineup!

Hopefully, I'll be posting interesting things I hear, see or discover at the fest and in Austin! It'll be my first time there so I'm excited. Especially because all the comparisons with Portland many of my friends have made recently.

The two panels I'm most excited about are the Journeyman panel and Gilmore Girls reunion!

Here's hoping the trip is as awesome and I think it'll be!

Head to the ATX Television Festival website for more details on the lineup and festival! http://www.atxfestival.com/

Fire in Times Square

As I left my friend, Elizabeth and headed home, I walked into Times Square as a rare fire was burning. Trash and cardboard boxes, clearly from the souvenir store adjacent, were ablaze. Of course, I and many others, tourists and locals, gawked. I'll admit, it made me want to roast marshmallows.

Firefighters quickly put the fire out and I returned to my trek home. Craziness.

My new love, Periscope

Twitter debuted its new livestream arrive, Periscope earlier this week (or rather, last week). I enjoy all forms of social media but twitter even more than other so I knew I needed to try this new thing out, ASAP.

Since then, I have barely been able to put it down!
I've stayed up until three in the morning two out of the four days I've had the app, following the lives of a few people in Australia, I've watched as people in the UK and Europe have gone to clubs, walked to work/school, chatting with the audience along the way! I've even opened up my own life and live streamed some random walks through the city, alone and with friends; It's been a blast! I even have a couple regular viewers!

I completely understand how this app would not be for everyone but for me, it's gold. The look into the lives of people I'd probably never meet or even be aware of...It allows viewers to see things they'd normally never see. A young man in Melbourne, Australia took us to his backyard where kangaroos were just...well...hanging out!

I'll admit, I didn't try Meerkat, a rival streaming app so I have nothing to compare Periscope to. However, my first Periscope feed was Darren Aronofsky visiting the site of the explosion in the East Village and I was hooked.

I encourage those iPhone users brave enough, try it. If you don't like it, well, like any other app, delete it. All it takes is a Twitter account and you're set. Download it now through the App Store! (Sorry, it is only currently available on iOS.)

New Spectre Teaser Poster Revealed

The James Bond 007 social media accounts released a new teaser poster image for Spectre, with a returning Daniel Craig in the starring role. I will admit, I think it's lovely but it seems to be a bit of a departure from previous teaser posters.

What do you think?
