I was able to attend another (feel free to hate me) screening of Les Misérables a couple nights ago. I have to say, it's just as amazing if not MORE so the second time around. I can't wait for the third, fourth and many more times! If you can get to an early screening, do NOT miss out!
They released a series of clips from the film were released on the official YouTube page.
Who Am I? sung by Hugh Jackman
[Possible spoilers after the videos]
A Heart Full of Love sung by Eddie Redmayne & Amanda Seyfried
Javert Releases Prisoner 24601 On Parole
At the End of the Day
On My Own sung by Samantha Barks
I really can't describe how much I adore this film. The performances were just outstanding. If Anne Hathaway doesn't win the Oscar... And if Eddie Redmayne, Hugh Jackman aren't at LEAST nominated.... I think Hugh deserve the Golden Statue. When he sings What Have I Done INTO the camera, eyes delving straight into you, the audience...CHILLS. And really, Crowe's Javert. I just love how he played him.
I could write a whole blog on how much I was shattered by Eddie Redmayne's performance. He's just incredible. His Empty Chairs at Empty Tables is haunting. Perfectly performed/acted. Next to Hathaway's I Dreamed A Dream, it is the song I can almost NOT watch because of the emotions they display, like its a breach of their privacy. Unbelievable.
If you're lucky enough to have seen it, let me know what you think! I love chatting with people about it!
