'The Performers' on Broadway

‘The Performers’ opened on Broadway on Wed., Nov. 14th. Six performances later, it closed. And unjustly so. I was able to attend Friday evening. The cast’s filled with incredible talent; Henry Winkler, Cheyenne Jackson, Ari Graynor (the reason I went), Daniel Breaker, Jenni Barber and Alicia Silverstone.

The play’s about adult entertainers, a married couple (Jackson and Graynor), a starlet who just added some large assets to her repertoire (Barber), and an aging star, trying to make a comeback (Winkler). Along with a reporter (Breaker) and a school teacher (Silverstone), the cast ensues on an hour and a half of sexy hilarity.

Thoughts after seeing 'LES MISÉRABLES'

I immediately tweeted my thoughts after I was the film so here's a collection of those tweets.

There may be some spoilers but I mostly kept them at the minimum. (Plus, I'm sure many have already seen the show or read the book or seen the other film(s))

My awesome Rachel Weisz encounter!

It finally happened! I finally got a photo with Academy Award winner and gorgeous human being, Rachel Weisz! After trying countless times this year both during The Bourne Legacy promotion and otherwise, I had almost given up hope it would happen this year!

So, when my buddy, Dan found out she’d be doing a Q&A for The Deep Blue Sea, I HAD to be there to try. I kept hearing how tricky it was to get her lately but I still held my breath that this would be the night! I was working until 8 that day and would probably make it to the theatre in time for her to arrive. It also happened to be the same night as the Lincoln NYC Premiere so we had hope no one would be there. We were right.

A couple of nice collectors I knew from a few other events showed up as well and we all settled in. While we waited for her, Dan and I noticed a familiar looking man arriving at the theatre. It was Tony Gilroy, director of The Bourne Legacy! We called out to him and he was incredibly surprised we knew who he was. We both asked for pictures and he was kind enough to stop and take them, sort of laughing at the fact that we recognized him.

The Hollywood Reporter: The Actress Roundtable

Okay. While I'm writing, I'm watching this AMAZING roundtable. The Hollywood Reporter brought together some of today's great female actors, all of whom are being buzzed about for this years Academy Awards. Rachel Weisz, Anne Hathaway, Helen Hunt, Naomi Watts, Sally Field, Marion Cotillard, and Amy Adams. All incredible.

WATCH IT NOW. It's amazing. And go buy this week's issue!!!

I'm back!

After an unfortunate hiatus due to working a lot and hitting up a lot of events, combined with still being sans internet at home, I am BACK!

Much has happened and I will try to be catching everyone up on all the details!

Here are a few pictures I thought I'd share while I sit in the Marriott in Times Square typing up some blog posts!

SKYFALL's Daniel Craig TV Appearance Round-up

With SKYFALL finally out in theatres and making a TON of money, Daniel Craig did two US television appearances after the cancelled ones a week prior in NY because of Sandy (yes, I'm bitter). The Britannia Awards were also televised last night on BBCAmerica, Craig received the British Artist of the Year Award.

First, Craig appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Wednesday eve:

Fangirl Friday #2 - SKYFALL

I went to the midnight screening of SKYFALL in IMAX last night. Nothing, not even snow, would keep me away. It sucked enough that all my friends across the pond saw it WAY before I even had the chance. Plus, the Skyfall NYC Benefit Premiere ended up having none of the cast in attendance thanks to Sandy. What a bust.

I got to the theatre far earlier than I needed too, unsurprisingly, but it was nice to just relax before the show. I was going to be joined by a couple friends eventually so I just sat and watched a bit of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. I was stoked to both see the film and get the exclusive print!

How beautiful is this?

Possible Spoilers Ahead.

SKYFALL/Daniel Craig Magazine Roundup!

SKYFALL IS FINALLY OUT IN THE US. Or it is, as of 12:01 tonight (unless you went to an IMAX screening last night or today, as I did). I'll talk more about the film in a bit. But for now, I wanted to have a post dedicated to the gorgeousness that is the collection of Daniel Craig/SKYFALL magazine covers that have been released recently!

The Hollywood Reporter
THR also has video footage from the photo shoot!

SNL Experience- Daniel Craig Style

This is cross posted on Mike The Fanboy, another site I blog for! :)

If there’s one thing you learn about me, it’s that if I’m a fan of something or someone, I’m a die-hard dedicated fan.

So, as soon as I heard that Daniel Craig, one of my absolutes favorite people in the ‘verse, would be hosting SNL this season, I knew I HAD to go. Through my interaction with him during his ‘A Steady Rain’ days, I knew he was funny with a quick wit so I was hopeful that that would come across to others who know him as a more serious actor.

When they finalized the date, I immediately told my work and took the days off. Oct. 5&6th were the days I planned to camp out, numbers are given out the Sat morning before the rehearsal/taping. I knew I wanted to go to the rehearsal so I’d get more Daniel time! As I researched, I started getting worried about getting there Friday so I started thinking about maybe Thursday evening after work. It turns out, they gave me Thursday off too. So, I’m set!

As the date approaches, I start psyching myself out, thinking Thursday evening still isn’t early enough. I set my sights on 11:30AM Thursday. I take with me an air mattress, my backpack full of my iPad, computer (to charge my iPad and iPhone) and various Daniel Craig related items, just because. The line seems to not have begun yet and I head in to talk to security, making sure I’m lining up in the correct place; I am and I settle in.

Two more character posters were released for the Les Misérables film (opening Dec. 25th, 2012)!

I fangirled about this film last "Fangirl Friday" and my excitement continues!

The Huffington Post had the exclusive first look at the character posters for the Thenardiers and Cosette & Marius!

Eddie Redmayne is always a big draw for me and to finally see the poster...EEE! It's so lovely! And Amanda Seyfried as Cosette...<3

Castle 5x06 - "The Final Frontier" Sneak Peeks **Spoilers**

This is going to be another EPIC episode of Castle!

Catching up with SKYFALL

So, over the last week, SKYFALL has opened in Berlin, Germany and was supposed to Premiere in New York. Due to weather conditions, the NYC premiere was postponed.  But the reviews keep coming in! I've tried to stay away for the most part but I'm only hearing great things!

Here are some great shot from the Berlin premiere!

Post-Sandy NYC

Hurricane Sandy did a number on this City and region. So many people still out of power, food supplies decreasing. I was lucky up in Harlem but many friends, colleagues and others were not. The last two days I worked at our location in the West Village without power and it was a surreal experience. By yesterday, people were running out of water and food, many with children and unable to travel uptown for supplies, the buses heading that way absolutely PACKED and passing people by. And so many had no idea, no way of knowing any updates on the situation.

Thankfully, partial subway service resumed yesterday and my comute was cut from 2.5 hrs to less than one. Today, I'm working at our Grand Central location which has had power and as a coworker commented, is pretty much back to normal.

I have loved seeing this City band together, neighbours helping neighbours, and I hope it continues as we begin to rebuild.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this storm.

Thanks for reading,
