360 Imaging

Yesterday, I bought the Ricoh Theta S, a 360 degree camera. I really wanted it when I was in Austin but hesitated to buy it.  However, I couldn't wait any longer! So, I decided to get it to mess around with it at today's Pride parade!  Here are a couple of the images I grabbed plus a sample of the video! So far I'm loving the camera. I'll try to post more soon from other adventures.

The Vigil at The Stonewall Inn #WeAreOrlando

I was able to catch the tail end of the vigil and it was truly moving. They read the names of the victims. Strangers hugged strangers. We all stood together as one community. It was beautiful.

Stars in the Alley 2016

Yesterday was Broadway's annual "Stars in the Alley" and I was able to attend thanks to a wonderful friend who, unfortunately, was unable to make it.

It was a fantastic lineup of talent. Below are just some of the videos I took of the incredible performances. I will try to upload more tomorrow! Now, I'm off to bed!

This first video is low quality because it saved on my phone while I was Periscoping (@Corellianjedi2).

Downton Abbey, The Final Season Fan Event, Farewell to a Wonderful Show!

Tonight, the final episode of Downton Abbey airs in the United States. I'll admit, I've seen it already. It was bittersweet and it still hasn't hit me that it is truly over.

Before the new year, PBS put on wonderful Downton events for fans in New York City. I was lucky enough to attend, not just once but both nights. The first night I was able to attend the screening and Q&A, the following evening, I attended the post show reception. I have to hand it to WNYC and PBS, they sure know how to put on a lovely event! I will miss these evenings and hope they will continue to have fan events for their numerous other awesome programs!

It was great to see the first episode of series six on a big screen! I did so love this seasons romances and drama. The Q&A was truly delightful. It was great to see the cast back together as they had wrapped months earlier and this was presumably one of the final times they would be together.

They brought so many for this final event; Julian Fellowes (creator), Exec. Producer Gareth Neame, Hugh Bonneville (Lord Grantham), Elizabeth McGovern (Lady Grantham), Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary), Allen Leech (Tom Branson), Phyllis Logan (Mrs. Hughes), Jim Carter (Carson), and Kevin Doyle (Mr. Molesley)!

The evening ended with photo opps with cast! They were all so sweet and I was glad to be able to tell them how much I enjoyed the show over the last six seasons. The first two photos were from a couple of nights before when the cast attended the opening of School of Rock, written by Downton creator, Julian Fellowes.

I hope you all enjoy the finale!

And 2015 comes to an end...

Another year ends with me blogging less and less! I even got a computer, hoping the use of a keyboard would help but alas, I was incredibly distracted.

This year was the year of Star Wars. With the release of The Force Awakens, my dreams of a decent Star Wars film released during my lifetime actually happened! Ha! But more on that later.

This year, I traveled home to Portland for my childhood best friend's wedding, Austin for the ATX Festival and Gilmore Girls reunion, England to explore with my mom, and returned to Arizona for a family reunion. I enjoyed pretty much every minute of it!

Here's my list of favourites in some random categories:

Is anyone else excited about Spectre??? It's already opened in Europe (they get everything early!!!) and the US is getting prepare for the release next week!

Personally, it's the film I'm most excited for next to Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

I was so excited, in fact, that when Regal announced they'd be doing a limited number of Unlimited Ticket for Spectre, I jumped on it. Ha! It came in the mail yesterday and boy, it's a beauty.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' poster revealed! Tix go on sale tomorrow!

So, like every other nerd I know, I was anxiously awaiting confirmation of The Force Awakens ticket sales, poster reveal and final trailer! And we received it at exactly noon EST today!

Here is the glorious poster! So many details! I'm especially loving Han and Leia, side by side, because, of course, they're my OTP.

Tickets will be on sale Monday. Will you be buying any? Many? And for a single screening or the marathon? I WANT IT ALL! Plus, the exclusives!

My NYCC Wrap Up - Sunday Funday!

Day 4. Sun 11 Oct

My Sunday was spent getting autographs! I managed to nabbed one of the last two Person of Interest wristbands (that whole process was also a mess, almost a bigger mess than Saturday but don't want to rant again. Ha!). After I grabbed that, I headed straight for the Minority Report autograph line! A buddy of mine, Stark Sands is one of the leads so I've been watching the show to support him! I'll admit, I've enjoyed it much more than I thought I would!

The signing was quick, as the cast was running late. Security and staff were also freaking out about photos being taken so, sorry, no photos from me. They brought the whole cast and the poster turned out great!

My NYCC Wrap Up - Saturday, It's all about Jessica Jones

Day 3. Sat 10 Oct

Saturday was my busiest day. My buddy Kalvin and I had decided to cosplay Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, respectively, and we're determined to get into the Marvel Netflix panel. Thanks to a short Friday, I was pretty well rested and headed out a few hours before the doors opened to queue up for the great hall wristbands. This, however, turned out to be a mess.
