EW's First Photo of Ben Kingsley in Ender's Game!!!
Entertainment Weekly has released the first photo of Ben Kingsley as Mazer Rackham in Gavin Hood's upcoming film, Ender's Game based on the novel by Orson Scott Card!
What do you think of Mazer's look? Is he how you pictured?
“In the script, which I think is beautifully written, what come across is the authority and mystery,” Kingsley said of Rackham, a man who saved earth once and may have to do it again. “There’s quite a lot said about him in the story before you see him — by the recruits and by his fellow officers — and that’s useful as far as preparations.”
The Ender experience reunites Kingsley with Hugo co-star Asa Butterfield, a prodigy who could be earth’s last hope against space invaders if he can survive military school. Kingsley was in student mode himself with a Maori tribal expert, who explained the inked mosaic on Mazer’s face is a historical record. “Every gesture in the tattoo carries family history, family struggles – it’s your past,” the actor says. “I was so enthralled. He’s in quite a contained, stylized uniform but then this wonderful face tells his warrior history.”

New Trailer for Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing!!!!
A second trailer for the Joss Whedon helmed "Much Ado About Nothing" has hit the interwebs!!!
In case you missed the first...
This just increases my excitement for the film ten-fold! Its a fantastically made trailer which gives a great look at the story (great for those who've not read/seen Shakespeare classic comedy)!
The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last fall with much critical acclaim and was picked up for distribution by Lionsgate, a limited release date was set for June 7 (US).
What do you think? Are you excited to enter Whedon's vision of one of the great comedies in history?

Filmed in just 12 days entirely on location in exotic Santa Monica, the film features a stellar cast of beloved (or soon to be beloved) actors – some of them veterans of Shakespearean theater, some completely new to the form. But all dedicated to the idea that this story bears retelling, that this dialogue is as fresh and intoxicating as any being written, and that the joy of working on a passion project surrounded by dear friends, admired colleagues and an atmosphere of unabashed rapture far outweighs their hilariously miniature paychecks. The film follows Claudio (Kranz) and Benedick (Denisof ) who have just returned home to Messina after a successful campaign abroad. When earnest Claudio announces his adoration for the lovely Hero (Morgese), daughter of Messina’s governor Leonato (Gregg), the acid-tongued Benedick teases him mercilessly. Benedick’s scorn for love is matched by that of his long-time nemesis and verbal sparring partner Beatrice (Acker), Leonato’s niece. As the lovestruck Claudio and Hero make plans to marry, Benedick and Beatrice resume the “merry war” of insults they have long waged. Yet there are many who believe that for all their antagonism — or even because of it — this pair of incessantly sniping cynics is surely meant to be a couple. As matchmaking schemes are put into play and disguises are donned, loathing and love soon prove to be close cousins.

OBLIVION Screening and Q&A with Tom Cruise and director Joseph Kosinski!!!
I was lucky enough to accompany my good friend, Dan, to the Lost Angeles Times' Hero Complex screening of Oblivion last night! This screening also included a live Q&A with star Tom Cruise and director Joseph Kosinski that would be broadcast to screens in other parts of the country!
I REALLY enjoyed the film. It was a bit slow to start off but quickly picked up pace with some great action and gorgeous scenery! Mr. Cruise, Olga Kurylenko and Andrea Riseborough were all brilliant with wonderful and full performances! Morgan Freeman and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau were fanstastic as well! (Though I could have used a bit more of the Coster-Waldau goodness!)
The Q&A was insightful and incredibly fun to attend!
It's availble to watch here!
After the Q&A, Mr. Cruise was kind enough to sign and take photos with almost all of the fans in attendance! What a guy!
Thanks to Dan for the photos!
